Barnstable Newcomers Club
Barnstable  --  Centerville  --  Cotuit  --  Hyannis  --  Marstons Mills  --  Osterville  --  West Barnstable

​is a social organization open to residents of the seven villages that make up the Town of Barnstable, MA. Although many new members have resided in Barnstable less than five years, you may join the Club no matter how long you have lived in Barnstable. From monthly program meetings to bowling, book groups, bridge groups, dining, movies, and travel, core to our organization are our Activities where members with like interests get together on a more frequent basis. We currently have over 200 members, dues are only $20  a year, and we look forward to meeting you and having you join in the fun. Couples and singles are invited to join us.

UPCOMING EVENT SECTION- ​​

The Barnstable Newcomers Club is in its 45th year and ready for upcoming Meetings, Events, and Activities!   We hope you are able to join with your fellow members at the Monthly Meetings and other events...       

May 1 - Backyard at Cotuit Center of the Arts.         5-8 pm   No charge to come!  No need to sign up, just come hang out and have some fun.  Food Truck will be there and of course, feel free to buy a drink! 

May 21 - Ice Cream Social and Bob Singer - BNC Monthly Meeting at UMC in Osterville 6:30-8:30pm.   Bob Singer will present, "Pro Tips for Taking Better Pics", to help you turn an average snapshot into a GREAT picture.

Bowling season occurs every Monday into May. There is always room for new bowlers no matter your level of play. It's a very sociable group.

Round Robin/Chicago Bridge: All who have played Bridge in the past are welcome to join our Round Robin Bridge group as soon as possible, as our schedule is being set up. Couples with a basic knowledge of Bridge are encouraged to play. We are currently 6-8 couples. Two couples play once a month at each other's homes.

Program Meetings

Six times a year, the Club sponsors an evening refreshment and dessert social gathering at 6:30PM, accompanied by an update on Club Activities, and a speaker. The focus of each speaker is to help us learn more about the Town of Barnstable and our Cape Cod, or provide entertainment. All members are encouraged to come and spend some social time with other Club members. This is a great opportunity for new or prospective members to learn more about the Club, sign-up for ongoing Activities, and meet people. It's a friendly group!


Special Events

Each year there are several special events planned, including Day Trips and a Dine-Out.

A core part of the Newcomers Club are the ongoing Activities where members with like interests get together on a more frequent basis at specific locations or at members homes.
